Our client is a Riga-based fintech company operating a data-powered financial marketplace for emerging markets across Southeast Asia and Latin America. With over 10 million users, 100 million+ processed applications, and a track record that includes ranking among Europe's fastest-growing companies (FT1000 #27, Deloitte Fast 50 #3 in Central Europe), they have built a product that works at serious scale. The team is lean, decisions happen close to the work, and AI is deeply embedded in how engineering gets done — coding agents handle full workflows end-to-end, not just code generation.
They are now looking for a Mobile Developer to take full ownership of mobile app development and delivery.
About the role
You will own the mobile product from feature implementation through to production delivery, working within a 5-person engineering team in a flat, fast-moving environment. The expectation within the first 3 to 6 months is clear: full ownership and thinking that moves business KPIs — not just completing tasks, but understanding what the product needs to achieve and acting on it.
What you will do:
- Be the go-to person for everything mobile — full ownership, no hand-holding
- Own the entire feature lifecycle: understand requirements, propose solutions, push back when needed, write the code, verify it works end-to-end, and make sure it holds in production
- Respond to issues proactively — whether flagged by users, error monitoring, or the team — and resolve them in a timely manner
- Proactively look for work based on product metrics, user feedback, and technical signals rather than waiting for tasks to be assigned
- Know the business KPIs and identify the highest-leverage items to work on
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with React Native and web development
- Strong ownership mindset — you take the delivery process seriously and see it through
- Proactive and comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
Nice to have: understanding of backend architecture and how it connects to the mobile layer
